Derrick Clark

Chief Clark’s career in the fire service spanned over four decades and he was recognized for having a tremendous work ethic, commitment to excellence, and leadership. He has extensive experience in fire suppression and training divisions, including Deputy Fire Chief, and Fire Chief. During his career, he has been on the hiring panel and hired over 150 firefighters and support staff. Working seamlessly with Human Resources he developed recruiting processes and evaluations for the interview process.

During his career he has sat in on and conducted hundreds of interviews for probationary firefighters, operational Chiefs such as Districts and Platoon, senior management Chiefs including Assistant Deputy and Deputy. It is with this experience and knowledge that Fire Recruitment Consulting was built on.

Nick Clark

Nick is a career firefighter in Ontario. He has been through the entire recruitment process successfully with two municipal fire departments. His knowledge passed down from Chief Clark, and his experience in interviews enable him to help prepare candidates for their recruitments. 

To date, Nick has helped a magnitude of candidates successfully complete their interviews and receive job offers throughout the province.
